Yikes! Long Time No Post!

I apparently need to dust the cobwebs off my keyboard, as far as blogging!

I got a new camera for my birthday! It's a Canon Rebel XS. It's super sick! I'm in lurve with it!

Being 24 kinda sucks.

I wish I went somewhere for Spring Break.

I'm efforting the idea of losing weight. I've been running the past week. I ran 5 times in 7 days; over a mile each of those days. Small victories. I'll be running marathons sooner than you think! (ha).

Be Heart Smart!

So i did some volunteer/intern(?) work with the assistant to my Cinematography/Lighting teacher today. It was a video audition shoot for a Cox Health program called "Be Heart Smart". It was fun, but slow. I definitely got alot out of it today. It was worth the 8 hours of sitting around!

Wordle

There's this website called Wordle that creates "word clouds" with the text that you input. I made one with some of my favorite lyrics and blurbs.

Scriptapalooza...

I didn't win. Oh well. Congrats to the winners. Maybe in the future.

Leroi Moore of The Dave Matthews Band Dead at 46 years.

Leroi Moore, saxophonist of The Dave Matthews Band from the very beginning died today, apparently due to complications arising from an ATV accident that occured in June. A very sad day to music. He was a great musician and presence, and his music will be missed by large number of people....

When Is It Aric's Time?

Why can't I be the one who always wins?

What did I do wrong?

Isn't happiness universal?

Temporarily Out Of Service

This isn't just about me either. It's about all the awesome fucking people out there who get shit on by life and passed by because they "lack" something.

We don't lack. You lack the ability to see the greatness in alot of people.

I wish I could muster the courage to say what I want to say to people at a given moment, instead of just holding back. It may help sift through the bullshit. I need a bullshit sifter.

I want to feel like I gave it every last ounce of try that I could have.

Right now? I haven't done enough.

Something has to change. Fast. Or I'm gonna go insane.

And all my worst fears will come true.

Books!

SO I started reading this awesome book called "Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close" by Jonathan Safran Foer, and it's pretty amazing so far. I'm about 90 pages in, and I bought it two days ago. It's about this 9-year old kid named Oskar Schell who loses his father in the attacks on 9/11. During his grieving process, He discovers a key in a vase in his parents room, which takes him on a journey to figure out what the key is, all while meeting survivors and other interesting people along the way. So far, so good!

I also bought this book called "On Bullshit" by Harry G. Frankfurt. He is a professor of Philosophy Emeritus at Princeton and he takes a scientific approach to explain what bullshit really is. It's very intriguing, but I have yet to finish it. Pretty awesome so far also!
